srsly, if you choose not to stick by your church during the tough times, dont stumble others by asking them to do the same.

you change church only when God calls you to another place for another season; not because of your own selfish motives.

everyone’s reaction to me thus far is either of these:
1. wow that’s a really good school, congrats!
2. isn’t that super far away from your house?!

what I have to say in response is this:
1. yup it’s a really good school, and I believe I’ll be greatly challenged. but I’m thankful to have 2 classmates who are posted there with me. 跟被派去名校中的名校的同学比起来，我算是幸运多了。(:
2. it’s about 20-30 min bus ride, so a safe gauge would be 1hr traveling time. I have 2 direct buses, so it really isn’t that bad. (:

as much as i wanna go back to ftpps and be there for my first batch of students, i also wanna experience something new. it’s gonna be a completely new culture and environment, and i believe this change will benefit me greatly. i do miss my CT, and i don’t think I’ll ever find someone like her, but staying in a safe and comfort zone won’t help me learn much.

so yes, i will go to tns with a positive attitude. tough weeks ahead, but greater is He who is in me than He who is in the world.

not sure if i’m allowed to announce my posting publicly, since it hasnt been done so officially yet.

to say i dont feel the jitters about entering a new environment would be a lie. however, i definitely look forward to this fresh new change. it’s a vast difference from ftpps, but i will embrace this change.

i’m not the most comfortable with changes, but i do accept them. i remember my primary school teachers commenting always that i can adapt very well, and i sure hope i still have this adaptability skills.

i am sure this is the place God wants me to be, because instead of appealing to go back to ftpps, i told God to place me where He deems fit, whatever is necessary for my growth. i know without a doubt that this is divine arrangement. it probably wouldnt be an easy path, but i am sure i will benefit from this experience.

now, now, i shall enjoy my last moments as a student, even though i really dread the assignments.

it is when you start having demands and showing temper that you realise that person is more than a friend, and you’re comfortable w him/her seeing this side of you.

okay, so here i am, once again, having a verbal diarrhea when i’m supposed to be doing work. ikr. the only two times i actually blog are when i’m on the train, or when i’m supposed to be doing real work.

it’s not that i dont wanna do work.. i spent 15 min staring at the question, reading up on the meaning of ‘washback effect/反拨效果’ pls. and then i spent another 15 min pacing around the room thinking of the positive and negative implications of psle.

sigh.. i believe in examinations. i support the importance of it. but i personally hate this.

pls tell me what sort of teacher i am.

purpose. yknow how parents/leaders/teachers always tell you to find out what your purpose in life is? took me long enough, but I realised it really makes a difference in your life when there is a purpose in your life.

however I believe you go thru different stages in life with different purposes which ultimately leads to your life’s purpose.

at this stage, might I add that I believe a lot of time was wasted in my life just breezing thru things. sure, people have been telling me to figure out life’s purpose. but I believe the ‘wasted time’ is a process of discovery. perhaps mistakes made were unnecessary, but they make me who I am today.

when working with lives, it sometimes frustrates us because we don’t want our students/kids to ‘waste time’ like we did. we can’t see why they refuse to take things seriously and not walk the same path we did. but I’ve come to the realization that perhaps, for some of us, the time is meant to be wasted. if there are lessons to be learnt behind it, why not? it value-adds, no?

i’m not sure if I’ve found the ultimate specific purpose for my life, but as of now, yes I’m living life purposefully. I treasure this period even more because ive realised the preciousness of it.

perhaps it’s time I read purpose-driven life.
